Julia Bazi enters her second season as a graduate assistantcoach on the Franklin Pierce women's soccer staff.
Bazi has coaching and an extensive playing background in thesport of soccer. On the coaching side, she has worked severalinstructional camps in both her native Australia and the UnitedStates.
As a player, Bazi had a distinguished career, including helpinglead Martin Methodist to a pair of national championships andnumerous other conference and regional titles. Bazi earnedall-conference, all-regional and All-America honors, while alsoserving as a captain of her collegiate team. She is MartinMethodist's school-record holder for most assists by adefender.
Following her collegiate playing career, Bazi signed aprofessional soccer contract with Afturelding FC in Iceland. Shealso has professional playing experience in Australia, the UnitedStates and Canada.
Bazi also plays on the international level as she is a member ofthe Australian National Team and has been with the squad since theage of 12.
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Bazi graduated from MartinMethodist in May 2009 with a bachelor's degree in physicaleducation.
