Courtney Stone enters her third season on the Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey staff in 2026-27, serving as an Assistant Coach. Stone works primarily with the Ravens' defense while also contributing to hockey operations, recruiting, and social media. During the 2025-26 season, Stone helped lead Franklin Pierce to the NEWHA Championship and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.
Before arriving at Franklin Pierce, Stone spent four seasons behind the bench at Buffalo High School (Minn.), working with the girls' varsity program. Her coaching background also includes roles with Minnesota's CCM High-Performance Program and the MGCHA Premier Prep League, where she helped guide a team to the 2024 Chipotle-USA Hockey National Championships.
A former student-athlete at Bethel University (Minn.), Stone competed with the Royals from 2018-20 before transitioning into coaching. She recorded 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points in her two years with the Royals. She was a two-time AHCA All-Academic Scholar and a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative during her time at Bethel.
A native of Rogers, Minn., Stone graduated from Bethel University in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Human Services and earned her MBA in Sports Management from Franklin Pierce in 2026. Stone is passionate about helping athletes grow both on and off the ice and believes hockey provides a powerful environment to develop leadership, confidence, resilience, and authentic connections. She is committed to creating a team culture where athletes feel valued, supported, and empowered to become the best versions of themselves.
