Brittany Nyzio

Brittany Nyzio is in her first yearas a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communication at FranklinPierce Univeristy in 2014-15, where she will assist with all mediarelations and statistical operations for the Department ofAthletics' 25 varsity programs. Nyzio, along with the office'sother graduate assistant, will serve as the co-primary contact forFranklin Pierce's regionally prominent men's and women's basketballprograms and men's and women's track & field programs. Inaddition, she will serve as the primary contact for theUniversity's men's lacrosse and rowing programs.

No stranger to the College atRindge, Nyzio is one of the most-decorated goalkeepers in thehistory of the University's field hockey program. Aftertransferring in from La Salle University, she served three years asthe team's starting netminder, including trips to the quarterfinalround of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship in 2010 and 2011.The 2011 club still stands as the program's gold standard, with a10-9 overall record and a third-place finish in theNortheast-10.

Nyzio finished her career as theprogram's all-time leader in wins (25), goals-against average(1.65) and shutouts (9), and is the only goalkeeper in schoolhistory to reach 20 wins. All three program records still standthree years later. She was a two-time selection to the Northeast-10Academic All-Conference Team, four-time selections to the NFHCANational Academic Squad (including her year at La Salle) and asix-time selection to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner'sAcademic Honor Roll, earning each honor every time she was eligiblefor it.

Nyzio is a 2012 graduate of theUniversity, with a degree in political science, while minoring inadvertising/public relations. She was a member of the AthleticCommunication student staff as an undergraduate. Her time on staffconsisted of assisting with multiple marketing and media relationsinitiatives, including hosting duties associated with the 2012 NCAAMen's Basketball Championship East Regional.

Originally from North Attleboro,Mass., Nyzio currently resides in Jaffrey, N.H., and is pursuingher master's in information technology from Franklin Pierce.
