Anthony Casparriello enters his first year with Franklin Pierce University after beginning his career in athletic communications as a student intern at Worcester State University in 2017. Since then, he has held athletic communications positions at Worcester State, Regis College, Curry College, and Anna Maria College.
Most recently, Casparriello served as Sports Information Director at Anna Maria College during the institution's final year of athletics. He directed communications for the AMCATS' varsity programs, managing the athletics website, producing game recaps, feature stories, and press releases, coordinating NCAA statistical reporting, overseeing social media, and supervising game-day communications. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in media relations, digital content, photography, award nominations, and promoting the achievements of student-athletes and coaches.
A native of Westborough, Massachusetts, Casparriello earned a bachelor's degree in Communication from Worcester State University, where he was a member of the Lancers football team, before earning a master's degree in Strategic Communication from Regis College. As a student-athlete, he received the Joseph R. Mewhiney Scholar-Athlete Football Award, the Rich Korzec Athletic Service Award, and MASCAC All-Sportsmanship honors. He was also a member of the 2023 GNAC Athletics Communication Staff of the Year at Regis College. In addition to his collegiate athletics experience, Casparriello has worked as a physical education teacher and youth baseball, football, and basketball coach.
