Andrew Pezzuto

Andrew Pezzuto enters his second season as an Assistant Coach with the Franklin Pierce University baseball program in 2016.

Pezzuto makes his first stop on the collegiate coaching circuit after finishing up his playing career at Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire in 2013. Pezzuto started 52 games with the Penmen that spring and hit .365/.471/.486 over 181 at-bats (66-for-188) with five doubles, seven triples and one home run. For his work, he capped his career with consensus All-East Region First Team honors and an All-America Honorable Mention from Daktronics. Pezzuto also earned All-Northeast-10 First Team honors while helping to lead the Penmen to top seed and hosting honors for the NCAA Championship East Regional.

Prior to his time in Manchester, Pezzuto spent his undergraduate career at SUNY Cortland, where he played three seasons under Joe Brown for the nationally-prominent Red Dragons. Pezzuto had his best season for SUNY Cortland as a senior in 2012, when he hit .367/.457/.547 over 128 at-bats (47-for-128) on his way to All-SUNYAC First Team and ECAC All-Star Team selections. The Red Dragons earned NCAA Championship berths in each of his three seasons in Cortland, including a trip to the Division III National Finals in 2012.

Following his time at SNHU, Pezzuto briefly played professionally with the Florence Freedom of the independent Frontier League (Baseball-Reference). He appeared in three games and went 1-for-5 with a double and a run scored.

Originally from Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., Pezzuto graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2012.
