(2/19/26) – Franklin Pierce Track & Field turned in a strong opening day at the 2026 NE10 Indoor Championships on Thursday at the TRACK at New Balance, highlighted by multiple finalists on both the men's and women's sides, several top-five finishes in scored events, and a national-qualifying performance from freshman sprinter
Cristian Reinoso (Lawrence, Mass.).
Men's Results
The Ravens opened the day with a big performance in the sprints.
Jamel Lee (New Haven, Conn.) advanced to Friday's 60-meter dash final after running the second-fastest time of the preliminary round. In the 200 meters, freshman
Cristian Reinoso delivered one of the biggest moments of the day, posting a blazing 21.56 to advance to the final while also securing an NCAA Division II qualifying mark.
Freshman
Noah Roberts (Westerly, R.I.) kept the momentum rolling by winning his heat in the 800 meters to earn a spot in Friday's final.
In field events,
Nathan Donahue (Middleboro, Mass.) placed second overall in the long jump with a mark just over seven meters, while teammate
Antonio Adams-Delgado (Westfield, Mass.) added points with a seventh-place finish. In the pole vault,
Noah Delgado (Westfield, Mass.) tied for sixth to contribute to the Ravens' Day 1 scoring.
Franklin Pierce also earned a fourth-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay, with the quartet of
Evan Spence (Salem, N.H.),
Vincent Mutter (Newport, Vt.), Roberts, and
Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) closing the night with five valuable team points.
After the opening day of competition, the Franklin Pierce men sit in a fourth heading into Day 2, fueled by strong field-event scoring and a high number of qualifiers advancing to Friday's finals.
Women's Results
The women's team also impressed across the board. In the 60-meter dash, both
Issys Price (Brockton, Mass.) and
Lanette StJohn (Hayden, Ala.) advanced to Friday's final, with Price clocking one of the fastest preliminary times of the day. StJohn returned later in the session to qualify for the 400-meter final as well.
Freshman hurdler
Mimi Ortiz (Nashua, N.H.) also punched her ticket to the 60-meter hurdle final with a clean run through the prelims.
Franklin Pierce dominated the weight throw, racking up major points thanks to a trio of top-five finishers.
Emily Nhun (Biddeford, Maine) led the way in third place, followed closely by
Destiny Fields (Lindenwold, N.J.) in fourth and
Abigail Philbin (Narragansett, R.I.) in fifth. Their performances helped push the Ravens up the Day 1 standings.
StJohn earned additional points in the long jump with a fifth-place finish, while
Lizzy Jones (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) cleared 2.95 meters in the pole vault to secure fourth place and five more team points. The Distance Medley Relay team of
Melany Walker (Queens, N.Y.),
Kaydence Finley (Roosevelt, N.Y.),
Lillian Byrne (Methuen, Mass.), and
Lauren Muldoon (Hampton, N.H.) added another five points with a fourth-place finish.
At the conclusion of Day 1, the Franklin Pierce women sit in second after strong results in the throws, jumps, and sprint prelims.
