HOOKSETT, N.H. (5/3/25) - The Franklin Pierce University track & field teams capped off a strong showing at the 2025 Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Saturday. The men's squad claimed third place overall, while the women's team finished seventh. Day 2 featured record-breaking performances, historic podium sweeps, and multiple medal-winning efforts across the board.
Stephen Harris led the charge for the Ravens, capturing the gold medal in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.50 seconds. Harris also added to his medal haul with a bronze in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 10.85 seconds.
History was made in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase, where Franklin Pierce swept the podium for the first time in program history. Ryan Outerbridge led the charge with a gold-medal performance, followed closely by Angel Mendo Alonso for silver and Sam Fortin for bronze.
In field events, Salvatore Lando secured a bronze medal in the discus throw, reaching a distance of 41.86 meters.
Noah Delgado added to the medal count with a silver in the decathlon, scoring 5,857 points. His top performances in the discus throw and pole vault helped him secure a strong second-place finish in the multi-event competition.
Also adding to the program's accolades, John Viens was honored with the NE10 Elite 24 Award, which recognizes the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site. Viens becomes the 10th male and 14th overall Franklin Pierce student-athlete to earn the prestigious academic award.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team continued their impressive momentum, breaking the program record for the third consecutive weekend. The quartet of Abbie Jacobson, Sidney Chapman, Briahna Bouchard and Issys Price earned a bronze medal with a time of 47.88 seconds, marking another milestone in a standout season.
Lanette StJohn delivered a strong showing in the heptathlon, earning silver with 4,279 points. She won both the 200-meter dash and the long jump, collecting valuable points to climb the podium in the seven-event contest.
