FAIRVIEW, Pa. (5/10/25) – Representing Franklin Pierce University as an individual, senior Seth Saffell capped off his season this week at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional, held at Whispering Woods Golf Club in Fairview, Pennsylvania.
Saffell posted a three-round total of 241 (+25) across the 54-hole event. He showed steady improvement throughout the week, carding rounds of 83, 80, and 78 on the par-72, 6,661-yard layout.
After a challenging opening round that featured a triple bogey on the par-5 seventh, Saffell rebounded in Round 2, shaving three strokes off his score with a 6-over 80. He closed out his tournament with his best performance of the week, firing a 78 in the final round, highlighted by a birdie on the closing 18th hole.
While he did not advance to the NCAA Championship, Saffell's appearance marked a milestone as he became one of the few Franklin Pierce men's golfers to qualify for the NCAA postseason as an individual.
