Franklin Pierce Falls in Regular-Season Finale, Prepares for Postseason

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (2/25/25) – The Franklin Pierce women's basketball team battled but fell short in their regular-season finale, dropping a 74-56 decision to American International College on Tuesday night. Despite a strong effort, the Ravens were unable to overcome AIC's rebounding advantage and second-chance points.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Franklin Pierce kept pace early, with Paige Slaven and Colette Mulderig leading the offense.
  • The Yellow Jackets used a 10-3 run in the second quarter to take a lead into halftime.
  • Slaven hit a jumper in the third quarter to bring the deficit to single digits. 

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS: 

  • Paige Slaven led the team with 17 points. Colette Mulderig earned a double-double with 13 points, 13 rebounds.
  • Team shooting: 32.2% FG, 23.5% 3PT (FPU) | 37.7% FG, 34.5% 3PT (AIC).
