Men’s Soccer Finishes Graduate Night With a 1-1 Tie versus #10 Bentley

Rindge, N.H. (10/18/2025) - Franklin Pierce men's soccer fought hard against the Falcons of #10 Bentley University. Following a scoreless first half, the Falcons were able to capitalize, but not without an answer from the Ravens, finishing the game 1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The first half saw chippy back-and-forth play, with both teams finding rhythm in transition but unable to break through solid defensive lines. 
  • The Falcons were able to capitalize in the 65th minute of play, through Logan Veloria, off an assist from Michael Haikal. 
  • The Ravens followed suit in the 73rd minute, with the equalizer from Guillermo Avendano. Dani Almeida drove towards the left side of the net, and was able to find the cross ball to Avendano in the box, who finished for the Ravens. 
  • For the remainder of the game, neither team was able to finish, despite the Ravens keeping possession in their attacking 50 for the majority of the game. 
  • Both teams were physical with each other, totaling 27 fouls throughout the game. 

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:

  • Franklin Pierce out-shot the Falcons 24-8. 
  • Karl Vernet tallied 1 save on 2 shots on goal. 
  • Each team had 4 yellow cards.
