HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Franklin Pierce struggled to find consistency on offense during the first half against Dominican (N.Y.), facing challenges in converting field goal opportunities. Key contributors for Dominican, including Chidinma Ndukauba and Tamia Nunes, capitalized on Franklin Pierce's turnovers and defensive lapses, leading Dominican to an early lead. Despite efforts from Franklin Pierce players like Janessa Gonzalez and Lyneta Brand, Dominican's strong perimeter shooting and second-chance points kept the Ravens trailing by double digits at halftime.

  • In the second half, Franklin Pierce attempted to rally with notable performances from Colette Mulderig, who contributed crucial points and rebounds. However, Dominican continued to dominate offensively, with standout plays from Tanasha Mills and Chidinma Ndukauba, who consistently scored in the paint and from long range. Franklin Pierce showed glimpses of defensive intensity and improved offensive rebounding but was unable to close the gap significantly. Dominican's balanced scoring and efficient ball movement ultimately secured their comfortable victory.
