Women's Basketball: Ravens Stung by the Yellow Jackets in 76-62 Loss to AIC

RINDGE, N.H (12/2/2023) -- The Franklin Pierce women's basketball team lost their home opener to American International College Saturday afternoon at The Fieldhouse 76-62.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The game was tied at 37 heading into halftime. The Yellow Jackets outscored the Ravens 39-25 in the second half. AIC outscored Franklin Pierce 15-6 in the fourth quarter alone to capture their third conference win of the season.
• Two Raven starters finished the afternoon in double figures. Senior guard Anna Badosa Soler (Girona, Spain) had 15 points and shot 5 for 11 from the field. She was 5 for 6 from the charity stripe. Senior forward Colette Mulderig (Scranton, PA) had 15 points and shot 6 for 13 from the field. She was 2 for 4 from the free-throw line.
• AIC freshman guard Ruzgar Christina Boyle played 28 minutes off the bench and finished the afternoon leading all scorers with 25 points. She shot 10 for 16 from the field.
• Freshman guard Geanna Bryant (Boston, MA) played 29 minutes off the bench and finished in double figures with 10 points. She shot 4 for 9 from the field.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
• Franklin Pierce shot 41% from the field (24 for 58). AIC shot 52% from the field (30 for 58)
• Franklin Pierce shot 31% from behind the arc (5 for 16). AIC shot 41% from behind the arc (9 for 22).
• Franklin Pierce shot 69% from the free throw line (9 for 13). AIC shot 50% from the free-throw line (7 for 14).
